I have survived, more or less. It's funny, I had the nudge sitting in my inbox the entire time. I kept looking at it and going "crap!" and then forgetting.
I hear you on the writing all over the place! I think I've had stuff up and around since at least 1998. Some of it is lost, but some of it is stuck forever on archive.org.
